Did this last night with watercolor and minor editing in photoshop. Background was added in as the scanner insisted on filling the whitespace with icky cyan color. His neck...ignore the neck. Scanner wouldn't pick up the color there--no point in editing that area either since I wanted all the focus to be on his face.

I was really surprised that it turned out this way. I wasn't in the best of moods :( literally seeing red at the time.

Last night i sent an angel to watch over u while u were sleeping. It came back early and i asked it why? Its said "Angels dont watch other Angels"

and the darkness sang, and the tears fell turning to ashes, where they were unseen, and forgotten...

The coloring is excelent, and the facial structure is well layed out. The ears are a tad big and stick out slightly, but still could be considered anatomicaly correct if you wanted them that way. (My bf has ears like that~). Your shading skills are really what stand out, and their right on.

Thanks a lot Citrus! Yeah the ears do stick out :P --and you're right... I love big ears haha they're cute when they kinda stick out :D thanks for reminding me though! Next time I won't exaggerate too much. Thanks again~

I've never been good with watercolors. I'm just not as delicate as I should be.

You did a great job with the highlights and I love the hair ^^ I'm not gonna ignore the neck because I just like that shape you made there. It just looks... neat. XD

I love the color and the shading. His lips look really real.

Though are his eyes supposed to look kinda empty like that?

Thanks ^_^. Lips are very very fun to color. I'm happy you like it. Yes, his eyes are supposed to be rather empty ^^; seriously! I dunno, I was picturing him to be light, airy, not really there in a "stoned" kind of way--hence his lack of expression.

:hug: You can try the "one-stroke" type Chinese painting :D That one calls for bold brush strokes that won't give you much problems.

I'm happy you like the neck even though I said ignore ignooore! XD... T_T you know me and my neck fetish...
